T/C Triumph ML
« on: January 05, 2007, 01:18:40 PM »
I was flipping through the Jan. North American Whitetail Mag, and see T/C has a new ML.
It's Called the Triumph.  from what I can tell it's a tip-up barrel with a toggle Lock action , The breech plug is a 90' turn and out
with your fingers. (No WRENCH). It comes in camo or Composit stock and forend.
Has anyone seen one yet, or are they not out yet????

I am sure it will be as popular as the Encore and Omega.

I've heard it will sell for under $400.00! If that's true it will be a hot item!

The Omega sells for under $300. So hopefully a couple options come with
"under $400" price mention.
Keep that ML smokin'

I've seen several pictures, and it does look nice.  I don't care too much one way or the other about the break action, but the Speed Breech sure would be convenient. I wonder how it will shoot??   I've got an Omega, and when I zeroed it at 75yds (all I could get at the time) with 2 T7 pellets and 250 grain Shockwaves, all three shots cut one ragged hole each time.  Further testing will see if it does that with different loads too.

I wonder if the breech plug is made for small rifle primers or 209's?

I'm sure that the plug takes 209's.  Unless you go aftermarket, I think all of the major companies are using 209 as the primary ignition source.

You can get the blued/composite Omega for under $300 all day long.  The SS/Lam are considerably higher.
