scope on a 94 angle eject
« on: January 05, 2007, 04:59:04 PM »
What is the best way to mount a scope on a model 94 AE?  I never thought I would put a scope on a 94 but with the new ammo I will try one on ne of my 94s  It would be nice if it could be done wiht quick release rings so I can go back to the open sights easy.  I have another gun done that way but I cant find a Weaver rail for a model 94.

The AE 94 doesn't use a rail, it uses seperate bases.  The rear base straddles the bolt by means of the screw on either side, and the front base is mounted inline with the bore.  Weaver does make them, but they are specific to the AE.  I have this setup on my 94 trapper and I don't worry about QR rings, I just use a 2.5X Weaver scope.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!

Thanks to both of you.  I followed what you guys said and found what I need in the Midway Catalogue.  I plan to try the new Leverevolution by Hornady after the scope is on.
