I'll "go" Lone Star one better...
I wouldn't bring the trigger down below
3 lbs. in a big game hunting rifle, especially if the rifle will be used in cold weather hunting where you willl probably wear gloves.
As Lone Star wrote (and I agree), a 1 or 2 lb. trigger on a varmint rifle is a totally different thing than the same thing on a regular hunting rifle. My own heavy-barreled Sako in .222 has an 18 ounce trigger while my big game rifles have 3 lb to3½ lb. triggers... but normally, varmint hunters take VERY deliberate shots during warm weather (no gloves). That is a totally different scenario than when shooting at big game in a late Autumn or early Winter woods.
After a
half century of hunting, I can tell you that what you need on your 7mm Rem. Magnum is a "clean" trigger... one with no creep that "breaks" cleanly at 3 lbs. or so for your own and your hunting partner's safety.
