« on: January 08, 2007, 06:41:45 AM »
Is there any reason I can or can not have a standard breech plug machined to be able to put .25acp case and primer in? kurtheckman@insightbb.com

If you are using a Encore, it can be machined to the proper size and depth to accept the 25 ACP case.
If  you're going to make a hole, make it a big one.

If you know the correct dimensions.....that's exactly what Precision Rifle does!

That's kind of what it looks to me like and if I screw it up a new breech plug is only $12. Thanks guys ! Kurt

If you are useing the standard omega/encore breech plug the old one with full threads.  I sent one to Precision Rifle works.  He does the work for 25.00 on your plug. Turn around time about 4 days.

Be careful to not get the hole too small. I had a machinist friend do one for me and with slightly smaller diameter hole over what Precision makes the primers tend to stick. For the Huntsman they make a completely new plug which gets rid of the goofy removal tool and makes the end a 7/16 hex instead so you can us a socket and extension which with a scope is great.
