96 Swede Question
« on: January 09, 2007, 05:08:25 PM »
I was wondering if the model 96 is a control round feed rifle or not? I know that the 98 mauser is but not too sure about the 96.

Thanks

I think all Mausers are controlled feed.  Mikey.

I think Mikey is correct.  I'm not sure about the very early models of Mauser design, but specifically, yes the 96 is a controlled round feed.

Hi All,

The Mauser Models 93, 95, 96, 98 and the Swedish 38 which is just a shorter barreled 96 are all controlled round feed using Mausers long extractor. I am not sure about the 91 never having handled one but I am thinking that also is controled feed.
