Are you a one load shooter?

I've settled on 1 load each for my 223,30-30,300win,308 and 54cal ML.
The only exception is the 30-30 where I've my small game load and my everything else load.
They are all tuned in, with the 300win and 223 haveing trajectory index cards.

Anyone else do this?

Was not always this way. I Spent alot of time with 100's of different loads.

Not usually...I prefer having more than 1 load that will shoot as well as the other with various bullets & various weights..I like options to use the gun for multiple task...and I like to reload. I only have 1 rifle with just 2 loads I use in it that is that  I consider that's  enough..and that is my 45-70...All the others have loads that run the gambit from varmints to big game..

For hunting, I keep it simple, one gun- not the HR, one load - 150gr 30-06, one shot, one deer, every year or 2.  But I shoot a lot more than I hunt

The 300win and 308 are for rifle comp.
The 06 is for the off chance of hunting over a field off a stand. Not shot all that much, but nice to have.
But most of my hunting and shooting is with the 30-30 and 223. About 90%, or roughly 2-3 thousand round per year at the rate I'm going.

Generally a one load guy, except my 204 my the bullet I use for gophers is not fur friendly and my fur bullet is not as accurate as the gopher load but thery happen a different times of the year so the resight is not so bad.

Pretty much one load per rifle, not necessarily per caliber. Have a lot of fun finding the load then stick with it. When I get bored, get another rifle/caliber and start the fun (sometimes frustration) all over again ... thus the Handi addiction!

For the most part yes,although I still try new bullets and they become my one load for a given rifle.Did that this year with the accubonds.

I will stick with one load if it gives me the performance I want. However I keep records of other loads that work good to.

I might be a little crazy with my .243 Ruger but I have found 4 bullet/powder combinations that shoot more than just good. These bullets include a Sierra 60gr HP, Nosler 70 gr and 80gr BT, and the Sierra 85gr HPBT. I am still working to fine tune the 85gr Sierra but groups are already below .700". Why?? Good question ... I guess because I just wanted to see how well it could do with other bullets. I can always go back to any one of them when needed.

I have bought a HUGE variety of bullets over the years and have so many in stock, so, no one load for me yet. I am working towards it, someday, maybe.

Pretty much when I find a bullet/powder combination I like, I stick with it.  Usually they are a refinement of what is offered by the ammo makers, except more accurate and in line with affording to shoot.  30-30 170 gr. in 94; 30-30 in Savage 24 130 gr. (or 170); 300 Savage 165 gr.; 30-06 180 gr.;45-70 400 gr.; 25-06 120 gr.; 7mag 162 gr.; .41 mag 220 gr.; guess that is part of the "necessity" of getting a new gun every now and then; finding a new load combo.

One gun, one load, one press and one set of dies. I bought my Handi 45-70 for big game hunting and there wasn't any suitable factory ammo for it, so I had to make my own.

I love to experiment with different pwders and bullet weights. I like to load as much as shoot . Once I find a nearly perfect load for accuracy I like to tweak it up or down to see if it can do better. Thats why I like the handis half of the fun of them is finding the rifgt conbination of bullet and load.
