Remington 7600 Carbine .35Rem

About a week before Christmas I purchased the last 7600 carbine from Grice Wholesale in .35 remington caliber. I really do not know why since I already have a Marlin 336 in .35. My first rifle was a 7600 and I heard that Remington was ceasing their production of these and thought that I should get another before there were no more new ones to be had. I have not fired it and now wonder if I should sell it. I remember my first 7600 as a good woods gun but never killed much with it. Should I consider dropping a chamber reamer in it to make a 358 or just enjoy as is? So many options and so little time to hunt.

You just bought one fine gun. Keep it as it is. I have 2 Grice guns, one in 7mm-08 that I made into a carbine years ago & this 35 Rem. carbine I bought awhile back. Can't beat a 760 or 7600 carbine for deer hunting.

I would not change this one iota. This rifle/cartridge combination was highly valued when there were no new ones being manufactured. Mild recoil and a decent killer at woods ranges. With the low recoil your shot recovery time is very low. This is one combination that probably proves the pump is as fast as a semi-auto.

I have this same rifle. If you think you want to sell it you better not shoot it, because you will then want to keep it They are great hunting gun's. I think mine carries and handles as good or better then my Marlin 35. I say keep it. Good luck.
