When you are on the Map Page, push the Menu button, select Setup Map in the drop down Menu scrolling down with the rocker, and push the enter button.  You will get a map page with six icons across the top.  Select the (i) icon using the rocker, and push menu.  You will get a drop down displaying mapping options.  Use the rocker and enter button to select the option you want.

If you have City Navigator installed it will have priority on other products.  So if you are out in the bush you will want to Hide City Navigator.

There is another route by going the Menu Page, select SETUP, select the MAP icon, and you will be at the map page with the six icons described above.

I'll be the very first to admit that I'm not the sharpes high tec guy around but there is some very poor choices in the use of the english language with this set-up.

When it says "Hide US Topo" in the menu the topos are functional on the screen. When you select "show city navigator North America"  the street maps are not shown.

Does this seem kinda poorly worded or did they write this for some higher level knowledge base then I have?

I need to get out the door.  But try shutting down and then powering up the unit. I have encountered the same problem.  If you travel around the icons on the page I directed you to there be other options to setting up your maps.  One of the things that bug me a little is that at times it will show the streets next to the one I am on.  I move the cursor to my street and the name will appear.

Ok it seems that the menu is in Question format. Garmin and jeopary have a common position here!

When is says "Show city naivigator" or "hide topo" That is a question for you.

It's not a statement or what is taking place at the moment or what your selection is. Would have been nice if they added a "?" at the end of the phrase.

When you see "show North American Topo"  that means the topo's are hidden. The phrase is actually a question asking if you want to "Show north American topo's" It's not saying that you are showing them.

The opposite statement is' "Hide North American Topo's"   If that's the phrase in your menu, it means they are on display.

It's asking if you want to hide them.

Garmin just left out the question marks in the phrases.
