My favorite powder. Accuracy as good or better than any other fake BP. Easy cleanup if you don't use lube. Since it provides its own lube you can shoot with dry patches. Non corrosive. Does not foul the barrel - no need to clean between shots.
IMHO You should lube patches, as this prevents patches from burning/blowing out, especially with hunting loads. There is no such thing as non corrosive powder. All black powder substitutes, as well as black powder are corrosive. Some are more, some are less. Do you want to risk ruining your barrel ? I have used APP, and true, it is a cleaner burning powder, but depending on your projectile, patch, lube, and powder, you do not have to clean between shots with real black powder, and Pyrodex. APP if left exposed to the atmosphere, loses power, velocity, and accuracy. If you shoot it right out of the can, such as target shooting, it performs well. But once out of the can, it begins to deteriorate.
