Was drinking water ! If you need to get a few hours sleep but not too much,
drink lots of water before going to sleep ! Mother nature will wake you up ! :-X

As a teen, I read about the Indian Alarm Clock in my Herter's Professional Guide's Manual.  Now, at 58, my Indian Alarm Clock goes off every night if I want it to or not! :D

Yea, I'm almost 57. The only way to turn mine off is the snooze button, for 30 minutes at a time> ;D

Water was a great help for me developing my internal alarm clock.  As a kid growing up on a farm, I had to get up at 4:30 AM to milk the cows, feed animals each morning.  If I wasn't up and at'em at 4:30 sharp, my grandfather would pull my covers off, and dump a 1 quart plastic beer container (kind used for draft beer to go on sundays) full of ice and water over my head :o.  If I was lucky.  If the old man got to me first, the consequences were usually much more grave.  I still wake up at 4:30 AM, covering my face with my hands.  Water works. ;)
