THE REM 7615 ARRIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: January 12, 2007, 03:11:42 PM »
As you can guess from the topic title I'm pretty happy my new pump has arrived. My first impression is that this rifle has a lot of potental. First off this thing has some heft to it, It feels even more substantal than my 7600 in 35 whelen despite the short barrel. The barrel is also rather stout you have the same taper as other pump barrels but with only a .224 diameter hole through it you end up with a pseudo bull barrel. STD 7400/7600 scope bases do in fact fit this model.

Too bad the weather is turnin really crappy otherwize I would have a range report shortly.

Stay tuned for a Williams WGRS sight. ;D

Very nice. What do you plan on using it for, plinking, varmints, home defence, all three or more? Is that an AR magazine? Can I shoot it?
Is there a 308 version?

Very nice!    How does the trigger feel?  Aw heck, how does the whole thing feel in your hands?   I had a 'smith that really knows his stuff tell me that their LE line is really put together very well as they made their LE line to take a lot of abuse and a certain degree of neglect.  Does it appear to have good workmanship?  I have never seen one in person so I can only go by what I am told here.

Get that out and shoot it and report back ASAP!!!

The rifle is built like a tank :o I was suprized apoun first picking the thing up. It's a lot heavier than it looks with all of the weight between your hands. I rather enjoy that this rifle feels like a gun in your hands completely unlike an AR (sorry AR fans).

The trigger is pretty good, Let me reprhase that; It's not CZ great but it's not Ruger bad either. I don't feel a trigger job is required with this rifle.

One more question and then I promise I will leave you alone (at least for now lol) Does it have the free floated barrel like the rest of the 7600s?  Or is the forend attached like a lot of the 760s?

Just like a 7600, you can literally drop a piece of paper between the forend and the barrel
