Hunting with target adjustment knobs
« on: January 13, 2007, 06:33:54 AM »
Does anyone know of a product that will hold zero on target knobs when you hunt with the rifle? They are designed to turn easily and they need to stay put. Best I can come up with is masking tape around the base of the knobs and the scope tube. Is there a better way?

Using tape is the best that I know of.  I don't think anyone makes a special cover for target knobs or prevent their turning in the field.

My Burris Black Diamond has turret covers over the target knobs.  Thats the only scope I own with target turrets and I assumed they all had covers.

I think that Burris calls those Hunter/Target knobs.  Other scope target knobs are usually large and easy to turn, with no covers, to make adjustments that much easier and faster for bench shooting.
