All of 94 owners know that the cross bolt safety is a nuissance as it is easy to engage it wihtout noticing it leading to increased safety for the game chased if not the owner !
Some elected to glue it, block it or remove it.
Personaly, I did not like to reove it as indeed I happen to use it when I unload the gun. In this case it is useful.
So I tackled the problem and came with a solution, I designed a different safety that can't be engaged by just holding the gun against you chest.
A few people around here showed interest in it but there are not many hunters in europe using a 94 so market is limited.
On the other hand, I was wondering if in North America, there would be a market for this type of safety that I can make easy to install by the owner. I know of companies selling just plugs to replace it but you loose the safety functionality.
Eventualy I would have to protect it by applying for a patent, of course.
marketing it would not be an issue in this age of Internet, ebay, paypal etc...
besides I am
This came to my mind when I saw someone in the US selling via ebay ghost rings he designed for Marlin 336 (I alse designed one for my 94 keeping the front bead and a low profile mount for a Docter red dot)
I would be glad to have your opinion.
