I have the 28" with choke tubes, it patterns great and with some minor tuning shoots point of aim/point of impact, I really like the barrel and have taken quite a bit of game with it. With that said, if I had it to do over I would go with the 24" barrel for turkey hunting, it is handier to carry, easier to use in a blind and the extra weight forward for a smoother swing is not needed with a turkey gun. I was going to order a 24" barrel but I think now I have decided to just have a 22" mod. barrel I have cut to 18.5" and threaded for choke tubes to use as a turkey/woods roaming gun. Thats the thing I love about these NEF shotguns and rifles, they are reliable do a great job, and are cheap enough that you can do a lot of tinkering without spending a fortune.
