Ring height for G2 contender handgun ?

I am mounting a TC 1.25-4X 28mm  scope on my contender with Warne rings & base. Would like to know best ring height to clear the hammer. I do not want to use a hammer extender. The bell dia. is 36mm. Has anyone used anything similar?
