I own several different types of glass "sight enhancers" i.e., traditional fixed and variable, ACOG and Holosight scopes. Several years ago at the Shot Show in Vegas I briefly viewed a Docter Red-Dot sight and just recently again came into contact with one.
Would you kindly tell me just how beneficial this type of sight is? How does it compare to the other sights that I previously mentioned? Do they serve well on large bore handguns for hunting i.e., .475 Linebaugh? How about service on rifles and shotguns? Last, but not least do they have an application for 1911 type guns in a self defense type of application?
Thanks and regards,
JHT
