Putting a scope on a M1 ?

I want to mount a Red Dot scope on my M1 carbine. Anyone now a good way to mount them?

You need to get a bolt on scope mount from B square or S&k.  I have looked at them but I figured that it would really make it a log to carry.  Besides the sight picture I get with the peep is pretty good I think.  I use it for deer drives in heavy woods, have gotten a double before.
