I did the Durecoat thing and was very unhappy.  It chipped and scratched very easily.  Plus it was very expensive, and time consuming.  We went to great lengths to see that we followed the instruction to the letter.  We heated each part first, and we also baked every part just as the instructions recommend.

When I needed to do something with my Handi Rifle, I decided to go with the rough textured paint, feels like if has sand in the paint, from Rustolium.  Painted all the metal and plastic parts with this.  Then used the Rustolium Accents paint on the wood, the one that looks like rock.  Rough texture makes it easy to grip with gloves or mittens on.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

This is a pair of .308's I built on Montana 1999 actions. They were bedded in Winchester take off plastic stocks and painted with Fusion Camo colors. I just walked around the property picking up leaves and grasses and used them as stencils for the patterns.
