45/70 Trapdoor Loads

I bought a box of 45-70 Govt Remington Express Rifle rounds. They are 300 gr SJHP and  they say they are 'for use in all rifles'. What pressure would you expect these rounds to develop? Are they 'Trapdoor' loads?

Any rifle would include trapdoors.  They should be at the pressure (I think it is 10-12,000 cup).  Want to have your eyes opened?  Load a 500 gr load slug with 70 gr. FFg, or a 405 with 55 gr (the carbine load).

Give remington a call but if i were to guess i think most factory loads are around 21,000

SAAMI MAP for the 45-70 which is trapdoor level is 28kpsi. Hodgdon's trapdoor level max is 28kcup, Lyman puts the trapdoor limit to 18kcup, 28kcup for levergun and 40kcup for modern rifles. Lee's top trapdoor loads are 18kpsi. Accurate Arms 18kpsi, 28kpsi and 40kpsi. So basically, depends on who's data you look at.
