Marlin Spikehorn

I have a Spikehorn with the short pistol grip stock.  Can I remove the stock and replace it with a straight grip and change the lever to accomodate this stock.  I love the short rifle.  Just trying to make a rifle like the 1894P in 30-30.

A straight-grip stock won't fit because the upper and lower tangs are curved instead of straight on the pistol-gripped 336. A regular length stock from another 336 should fit though if you're just interested in a longer LOP.

It depends on how much you want to spend, if you buy a new lever, and lower tang assembly you can fit a guide gun stock to the spikehorn, I am not sure what the cost of these components are, but as Jake11 pointed out a standard length pistol grip stock will fit and give you a longer length of pull, for just the cost of the stock

Numrich's E-Gunparts.com has the parts they will have to come off of another 336 model though.

The lever is about 53, and the lower tang is about 54 (it is listed as a trigger plate in their catalog though).

A stock can come from a number of sources they have straight grip stocks at about 94.  I am sure you can find a better deal if you look or finish it yourself.
