Just cleaned my new 204
« on: January 23, 2007, 01:47:00 PM »
This was the dirtiest gun i have ever seen.  I was using shooters choice to clean it too.  i went through a hundred patches and it is still not perfectly clean, but good enough to go shoot for the first time.  sure was a pain though, i was hoping to run about twenty or thirty patches through and be done.  hopefully it shoots good as much work as it was to clean it.

A lot of the dark patches coming out of the bore is from blueing, bores aren't plugged when they blue em, clean and polish the bore with JB or one of the metal polishes, kill 2 birds..... ;)

ah ok will have to do that i guess, didnt think i could get that much gunk out, and i was even using double patches to dry patch and the bore looked magnificantly clean.  might have to get a little bore polish and run some through when cleaning after i shoot it the first time.  thanks quick, another goot tip
