Anybody tried a 6.8 Rem Spc for Big Bore? I've been out of the loop for a bit and haven't been paying attention.

No, but I talked to a fellow today at our AIR match that is interested in the game and has that chambering.  He is using a 115 grain bullet.  I am totally unfamiliar with reloading that round; so, I don't know what velocities can be loaded safely.  I shot a 6BR for years running a 107 grain Sierra at 2400 FPS and did not ever loose a ram I hit.  That pistol is still in service and has yet to ring one that was hit.

It is very possible that this would be a servicable round properly reloaded.  Please let us know what you discover.

I bought a 6.8 barrel for my contender mounted an aimpoint on it and sighted it in with ammo for my AR15.
went to a match the following sun shooting 110 hornady V-max bullets knocked down everything i hit 36 out of 40, 9 out of 10 rams
My gun was sighted in for 100yrds i was dead on at 50yrds dead on at 100yrds high at 150yrds and dead on at 200yrds.
I was very impressed with the gun and so where the fellows i was shooting with first 6.8 spc they had seen.

I just started shooting at 14" TC in 6.8, loaded with 115g Sierra MK's.  The first 4 rams toppled slowly, and I rang the next 6.  The last 3 were hit  pretty high too - didn't quite have the momentum.  One of the setters said the targets were set solid.

I'm now looking for 130g and 135g load data, if anyone can recommend some.

Otherwise, really like the cartridge.
