for more clarity, not union workers, but the actual unions themselves and their political actions these days.

now what does that have to do with hunting and shooting politics?
just look and the anti-gun politicians that get elected b/c of them.  look at the years of education inundating the youth for years in the northeast and upper midwest b/c when those politicians were elected they did alot more than pretend to be pro-union, they implemented plenty of other actions in education and the like that were far more devastating to the "gun culture" and good old american values than any single "anti gun" vote could ever do.  i grew up with the majority of my friends parents voting for lack of a better term, communist/socialist, candidates b/c the "union" they belonged to said they should.  the reason illinois' political climate is the way it is is in large part due to that.  so now law abiding citizens in chicago can't own a pistol, can't buy ammo without the FOID card, and as we shall soon see, loss of alot of hunting rights.  all so they can be duped into supporting some candidates that can claim to increase their wages so they can spend a bit more in a slumping, overtaxed economy in many of those states and in turn have a lower standard of living than they would in the same non-union job in another state in a more southern region.

Local 150 Operating Engineers is a Republican union that was the biggest contributor to Judy Barr Tropenski's campaign????? What are you talking about? Read the local newpapers.

S.B. -- it was a general comment, i'm sure you read the national news huh? then you're well aware of the afl and the teamsters and what the union leadership supports.  if i read the local news here there'd be not much of a mention cuz they're not running this states labor force.  though i was working at a packaging plant in east texas when the teamsters tried to move in roughly 13 years ago.  that was worth a laugh.
