Eight-Year-Old Girl Shoots 22 Pound Bird
« on: May 05, 2003, 09:16:34 AM »
This is a trully remarkable, if, humbling ( for me anyway ), story.

This eight year old girl shot a 22 pound turkey with a .410 THAT SHE SAVED HER OWN MONEY TO BUY!

But I think the trully remarkable part is that she passed up her first shot because the bird was out of range! How many of us would do that when we were 8? 16? 18?

The people at the check-in station were a little nonplused. Yeah, I bet they were.

Yeah VM, took the glass Cody with me this past weekend. I sat on an area with an unbelievable amount of sign. I had bird way down in a valley answer me in the morning but I couldn't get it to come closer. That was it for the whole day. My buddy and I only heard one shot the whole time also. In this state you can only hunt in the morning in the spring so maybe the birds come to eat there in the evening.
