Bought mine due to looks & caliber.  I was looking to replace a 35 Whelen & ran into the 750 at Cabelas, in Michigan almost a year ago.  First one I had laid eyes on, & I think it is a handsome gun.  Took it on a Newfoundland moose hunt back in September & it did its job to a "T".  I have put several hundred round through it, & get hunting accuracy with about everything, ~1 minute groups with the 225 gr Partiton and the 250 gr. Speer Spitzer.  I am curious how it might do with the Barnes TSX, but not sure i will spend the money to find out.  Only things I do not care for is the R engraved into the forearm & the plastic bolt shield.  I have had no feeding or cycling issues, and am thankful for that.  My confidence is pretty high with this one! 8)

Mine's a 308 and I have jamming problems. I think it has something to do with the trigger assembly but haven't really figured it out yet. The hard steel cone on the firing pin seems to be digging into the hammer and getting hung up.

Notwithstanding, it is a pleasure to shoot and is very accurate. I don't want to give up on it and I can't send it back to the factory as I live in Canada so I hope that perhaps you all might have some insights.

How does the recoil on the 35 Whelen compare to a bolt rifle.
