Any of you guys have one of these? How do you like it? I'm thinking about one as a low cost pig gun.

If you know were to buy one I'd like one too. Since IZH is trhe new spartan/rem there won't be any 9.3s in the USA. Matter of fact not too many 9.3s came in under the IZH name either.

I will---I'm trying to decide between the 9.3 in the 94 over & under or wait to see if the 45/70 side-by-side EVER becomes available. I would prefer the 40-70. Until then, I'll probably stick with my Sauer 202 in 375 H&H unless I find a 9.3 I can't do without, then I'll probably pick it up until the 45-70's come out.

I would LOVE to find one in 9.3x74, (or even 9.3x62)!  Im buying one in 30-06 as a cheap DR.  If it looks like its worth fooling with I just might see about rebarreling to 9.3; but I kinda doubt it'll be cost effective.  Lets see a $300 rifle + a coulpe barrels (say $250), + plus a smith thats willing to put his time into it and Im guessing it'd be close to exceeding the wife tax, only to have a rifle that only I could love.

The whole Remington contract theft from EAA reminds me of the "Robber Barrons" of the early 20th century.  Im all about free enterprise but, Remington has taken a decent line of inexpensive rifles and shotguns and destroyed it.  Just before the Remington "deal" EAA was advertising the O/U in all sorts of "European" cartridges.  Now your lucky if you can find any of them AND none from REMMY!  Who knows if the "overthere" cartridges would have sold well "overhere"; but I for one was giving a couple a very close look!

Now the Remington folks have been stringing us along for almost 3 years about the SxS, I ve given up holding my breath, and frankly wonder if I'll be able to afford it with the REMMY name stamped on it.

I originally purchased the IZH 94 in 12 ga/.30-06 as a pig gun.  After 4 years the pigs have started their invasion, so I expect to use it for that application shortly.

I have never seen a 9.3x74R...

Also EAA is still the importer and is basically Spartan.  I know this because I sent in a 12 ga/223 for repair and it turns out to be our friends at EAA handling the warranty repair.  I have been very pleased with EAA.  Remington knows nothing about these guns.  It is a shame as I am sure that is part of the sales problem...

I spoke with several people at Remington and they tell me the SxS rifle is being tested...
