Ruger MK II grip frame swap?

I saw a nice MK III recently with fixed sights, short barrel, and 22/45 grip frame. Didn't feel good in my hand. Can you swap grip frames on the MK II/III pistols? I would like to install my MK II Target lower onto the MK III upper, but I suspect they are not compatible. Thanks for all replies.

  While not 100% sure, I ant to say it won't swap.  For a defiante answer... www.rimfirecentral.com or www.RugerForum.com

  Actually find scematics with part numbers for the MkII and MkIII 22/45s and see if the gripframes have the same #.  if so they'll swap.
