Loads for my new BH in 357 mag.
« on: February 04, 2007, 01:22:22 AM »
Just picked up my BH in 357 mag. yesterday! ;D I've already have 2 loads to tinker with. One is 10.0 gr. of HS-6 pushing a 140 gr. XTP.  The other is 158 gr. XTP FP being pushed by 17.0 gr. Of Lil Gun. The BH is blued and a 6.5" barrel. I love my RUGERS! ;) Now I have to tell you the stupid thing I did.  >:( When I went to order the BH, I saw a GP 100 SS 4" barrel ( used ) . It had fixed sights (rear) and a spurless hammer. Stupid me pondered if I wanted it. That should have been a no-brainer. It took me about 4 days to decide I wanted it. Well, when I went to get the BH, I thought I would go ahead and get the GP100 (357 mag.)WRONG! It was already gone! the price was great too! $235.00. I know I'll never see an opportunity like that again. ::) But I'm glad I got my BH.

That spurless GP100 sounds like a double action Ruger I saw at a pawn shop in Garden City, KS about a month ago but I don't recall the model no.  It had the same price tag on it and that caught my attention, but I like to shoot them single action and besides I already have a 4" Taurus double action.

Anyway, congrats on the new BH!

Push some 180gr XTPs outta that thing with a full charge of H110 for some real knock down, The Rem bulk bullets 158gr JFP shoot very well for target practice outta mine, With that said I mostly shoot cast 158s and 180s. I kinda like rugers myself I only have five .357 rugers I think I need a bisley. 8)
