Weaver Classic Rimfire Scopes for 22lr
« on: February 04, 2007, 03:58:33 AM »
Anyone have any comments or experience with any of these Weaver rimfire scopes.

www.weaveroptics.com/pg11/pg11.html

The prices on the Weaver's are quite a bit more than say the Bushnell rimfire scopes.
Wondering if they're worth the extra $$ for plinking and the occassional squirrel/rabbit hunt or are the Bushnell's more than adequate?

Weaver 4x28      $113
Weaver 2x7x28   $129

Bushnell 4x32      $ 33
Bushnell 3x9x32   $ 39

All have a 50yd parallax settings.

H&R Ultra Slug Hunter (12 ga.)
NEF SS Sidekick Muzzleloader (50 cal.)
Remington 870 Express (12 ga.)
Stevens 311-H SxS (20 ga.)
CZ 452 American (22lr)

I have never had a Weaver scope but my cheap Bushnell Banner .22 scope has worked well.  Holds zero and is clear and bright.

The Weaver Classic Rimfire scope uses the same quality that they put into their centerfire scopes.  The Weaver will be fully multi coated.  At .22lr ranges, the Bushnell would probably be fine for you.  However, make no mistake about it, the Weaver Classic is a MUCH better scope than the Bushnell rimfire.  Just depends on how important it is to you and how much monye you want to spend.

I notice you're in MI.  If you're any where around the Lansing area, let me know and you can look through mine.
