.32 Acusport Bisley campaign
« on: February 05, 2007, 01:57:54 PM »
Over on RF, I kinda started a initative for a .32 magnum Acusport Bisley.  I was told that with enough input, they'll try and contract for a run of these.  I know there's been quite a few folks wanting one that emailed them requesting one.   Anyone really interested send them off an email.  Who knows, next year we may just get one.

I believe the full size bisley blackhawk frame is too big and heavy for the 32mag. I would vote for a run of stainless bisley super single sixes in the 32mag.  ;D Regards, Byron

I suspect that is what is meant. A 5 1/2" SS Bisley Single Six. I like my 32's to be lightweight and prefer my aluminum gripframed ones to my Bisley.

actually id prefer the fulll sized gun. Ive a got single six .32 and what im really looking for is a platform for running 3220s at speed.

I have a Buckeye full size in 32mag/ 32-20 that has been converted to a Bisley and it is a heck of a shooter. It might not be as light and nimble as a Single Six but will probably outshoot one in most peoples hands. I still voted for a adjustible sighted Single Six in 32 mag in blue if possible (I don't have one and the Single Six adjustible sight 32 mags are just non exsistant!). I also voted for a 5 1/2" 5 shot 480 Ruger Bisley, again preferably in blue but SS would be ok. I know the 480 is a big stretch but one has to ask....

Thanx for the support guys.  You gotta remember this is all part of the series they've had going so it would be a 5 1/2" stainless model.  Either frame would suffice for me.  As far as suggesting other models, such as a 480 on a SA frame, Ruger won't do one since they'll only use existing tooling for all thier distributor editions.  Since they don't offer ANY 480 single actions, they wouldn't likely consider one.  Keeping them knowing what is wanted is good but I think in thecase of a 480, you'd be best off letting Ruger know directly.

Sent an email out this morning to them.  It would be nice for my .45 bisley to have a little brother.

Never thought they would make the 5 shot 480 but if you put the bug in enough ears they might listen someday....

And why would it have to be part of the series? I mean it makes sence but then Ruger will make them any configuartion that they have tooling for, just as easy to start to make runs in blue as Stainless Steel if they order them that way. Ruger will supply the demand (except for 5 shot 480s haha).

theres just a better chance of it happening in the full sized bisley 5.5 stainless guns. Theres a bunch of guys (and im sure not one of them) that just has to buy one of each of these accusprort guns in every caliber to put in there safe and that would account for a guarantee of quite a few sales for them right there.

HEY!   I resemble that remark!  ;D Have one of each tucked away nicely for my son someday and then an extra as a shooter.  Have two .357 ones on order(whenever they ship) too - one to tuck away, one to shoot.

Yeah what Blackhawk73 said!

That .32 should be done like this one-

The one above was built after I bought an Acusport .45c/acp. I liked the big version so much I thought I better make a .22 version one for myself as I could not wait longer for Acusport to come out with the small version on a SSS.

I wish you guys could handle this little bugger. It is the bee's knees.

Thanks Lloyd!

I hope there will be a Michigan "Shootist" meet this year and if it works out I will bring it so you and .44 Man can see it and shoot it.
