Winchester 22 caliber autoloading tube fed rifles
« on: February 06, 2007, 05:37:16 AM »
While at the gun store last Saturday. I saw a couple of Winchester 22 caliber autoloaders, tube fed rifles.
I didn’t look for the model numbers. They appear too be fairly new models maybe 1980’s-1990’s vintages.
My guess would be 18”-20” barrels and have kind of a more squared off edge around the frames. Unlike the more rounded Remington or Marlin 22 autoloader frame edge. What model do you think they may be?

Ok, I think they are model 190 made until 1980.
Are these any good and how much are they worth? The ones at the gun store appear to be in very good condition.

They are actually kind of rare to see. My brother has had one since the early 1980s
and it is deadly accurate. They are know to go full auto on a pretty regular basis though.
Be kind of neat if you knew when it was gonna do it. I believe the burst fire problem was what ceasd production of them.
