Remington 799 in 22-250
« on: February 07, 2007, 08:38:18 AM »
Has anyone had any experience with the new Remington 799 in 22-250, or the old Chas Daley? I thinking of getting one with the idea of converting to a 250 Savage, I know the magazine is a little short but I reload the 250 now and feel I could keep the OAL inline with 87 gr bullets.  Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I like the way your mind works. You do realize you may have just cost me a lot of money. Thank you, thank you, SHHHH, my wife is in the other room.

Or you could get a Stevens in any of the .308 family cartidges and get a .250-3000 barrel from Midway for a inexpensive way to go.  I did that but I have yet to do the barrel swap.

Good luck with your project.
