US "Prods" NATO on Afghanistan

The US is begging NATO to send more troops to Afghanistan.  The Bush administration is claiming that the war in Afghanistan may be lost if NATO does not respond with more troops.    Somehow i thought that we had more at stake in Afghanistan than does NATO or anyone else.   After all, this is the home turf of the Taliban and AlQueda.
