Twelve hour nights at work leave me with too much time to think. Has anyone ever tried a fix on the 243 ejection issues by using 307 Win. brass necked down to 6mm? The rimmed case should eject much better. 308 and 307 dies are the same, with different shell holders. It is possible to make 243 from 308 with just a ride thru the sizing die. So why couldn't you use 307 brass to make a rimmed 243? You would have to make the rim cut in the chamber and modify the ejector, but that doesnt seem to be too big of a deal. What do you guys think? Side note, the 307 conversion should help ejection on a 308 also. Is this a reasonable idea, or is it fix for a non-existent problem?
