has anyone had any trigger work on the super red hawk? were you happy with it? how much should a trigger job cost? single action feels like 6 lbs. which seems way to heavy.

The one I had did not have much creep and was fairly smooth so I just bought a Wolf spring kit and changed the trigger spring and left the hammer spring alone.  It got the pull down to the 3 lb range.  Cost about $15 and is very easy to do by looking at the exploded drawing and reading the teardown instructions in the owners manual.

Should be able to get spring kits at  www.brownells.com  I used some on my redhawk 5.5"  and I was really happy with them.

I argee Rugers are all about springs. I filed and polished the heck out of mine and it did very little.
