Ithaca 37 problem
« on: February 11, 2007, 05:37:38 AM »
I own a Ithaca model 37 20 gauge shotgun that doesn't feed properly. When I first bought it it worked fine. It has hardly been used. It will load if you pump the action slowly but jams if you cycle it fast. Of course they went out of business about a week after I bought the thing. Any thoughts? ???

The Ithaca 37 is as dependable as a shotgun gets.  If it has a problem, it can be fixed, don't worry about that.  Let us know a little more.  Steve

Thats for sure !! Have the same Ithaca 37 from when I was 15 years old, built in 1963, and have never had a problem with it. My son carries the gun today.

Ithaca is back in business they were bought out by somene in the midwest I believe. I had a phone conversation with a very nice and knowledgable gentelman there about a month ago, regarding a new barrel for my sons gun with screw in chokes. They also repair older Ithaca's. Here's the link to their website:

Hope this helps.
