What's with Taurus ?
« on: February 12, 2007, 10:00:11 AM »

Has anyone clicked onto tyhe Taurus site recently ?   www.taurususa.com/    It looks to me as ifthey are doiscontinuing many of their rimfire rifles.
Try to find a .17 HMR..only one model that wasn't discontinued..many of the .22 mags are following the same suit !   What gives ?

Their quality has hit rock bottom and their customer service seems almost nonexistent. I think folks are waking up to this and abandoning them in droves. They can't sell the stuff so they are stopping making it.

I agree, I'm one who has sworn off Taurus, I've had four Taurus revolvers and all would misfire in double action and some even when thumb cocked.  It is unfortunate since they offered quite a few guns that are not available from any other source but four strikes is more than OUT.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

Yup it's a crying shame as for me at least they have some of the most desireable revolvers around. If the quality was still there and if their customer service was what it should be I'd have a lot of their guns and still be talking them up as I used to when things were that way.

I have a Taurus .22 mag ..4"  that has given me good service..but then, it has seen little service in th 5-6 years that I have owned it !

I did notice though, that when firing Win Supremes...the empties sure wanted to stay in the cylinder !  Ejection took lots of pressure..
