I don't have one for sale BUT . I want to run something by you guys and gals first. I have been looking for a while for a 357 barrel and it does seem they are hard to come by. What I am thinking about doing is I am going to send my gun in to be fit for a 20 gauge and a .357 barrel . Could I sell them or would I be out of line to try and sell 2 or 3 extra 357 barrels that I have fitted at the same time as mine. I am thinking at like $170 shipped to your door that would include barrel $87 scope rail with offset hammer spur $19.95 and $15 fitting fee $121.95 total probly about $10 to ship anywhere means I make about $85 on 3 bbls almost enough to pay for my 357 barrel is that out of line ? Would I be able to sell 3 ? Just looking for your input before I say screw it and just get mine. Thanks Kurt
Could get them with just sights and no scope rail would lower it to $150

fitting fee is what the factory charges for every barrel.

Yea, I know. Fitting it to your receiver. Not to the people's who would potentially buy the thing. Now, ebay is an option I guess. People on there seem willing to pay way to much for barrels sometimes. However, I seriously doubt anyone here is going to take you up on your offer. We like to trade back and forth with each other, not take advantage of each other.

I don't know if you have noticed or not but I do believe you have insulted the intelligence of an outstanding group of people. We all make mistakes. We are not here to profit off of others financially. We share, we discuss, we suggest, and we sometimes laugh together. I cannot speak for anyone other than myself but I suggest you save your money and pay for your own barrels. As 270 Handiman said ... maybe ebay is an option for your enterprise.

I have always believed everyone is entitled to one mistake, thats how you learn, and from the above replys you should have learned. I don't think you are trying to make money at the expense of others here, that was a little problem that was just discussed a bit ago about one particular member who it appeared was buying things here just to sell on E-bay and make a profit at the expense of this brotherhood. No one here has a problem with an occaisonal E-bay sale but when it becomes a regular thing and it looks as if it is "for profit" many here took exception to it. Hopefully it appears as if that problem may just fade into history and all be forgotten and forgiven. I for one hold no grudge against anyone here if they have learned and wish to move on, we are family here. I noticed that you openly posted an idea and have no belief that you were trying to take advantage of anyone here rather you openly voiced an idea you had. All is forgotten with me buddy and I hope with the others here, I hope to often see your posts about these fine single shots. When you get your .357 I am sure you will enjoy it, we all like ours and I am sure in time it will most likely become a .357 Max as most of them do....<><....

In all fairness, I don't think he understands the fitting fee does nobody but him any good. I'm not sure he meant any harm, I think he believes the way he thought it up would mean nobody would have to send their gun in, which would be appealing to alot of people. By not understanding the fitting procedure, he made himself out to look like he was trying to make a bunch off the regular joe. I am new here too, and would feel pretty small right now if I were him, I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt. You don't need to worry about me selling you anything, as I always say, " I couldn't sell a solid gold brick for a dollar!". If I'm out of line, let me have it! Thanks.

Thank you MSP Ret for setting this post back in the right direction. I felt what you said ... that maybe peanut just didn't fully understand. I hope I didn't give the impression to anyone, especially peanut, that I was leading a "bashing" session. I have forgotten it and I hope everyone can too.

I'm jumping on MSP Ret's bandwagon.

When I read the initial posting I thought it was a sincere question about possibilities. I also thought it was a bit naive, but what-the-hey.

peanut did say quite clearly in his posting: "I want to run something by you guys and gals first." and then, after describing his idea, he asks "...is that out of line ?"

Sounds to me like a guy exploring and checking if there is a way to do something that, in his mind, is a win-win for people. And with a nice basic capitalist concept too.

Though he didn't seem to know at the time much about the processes involved in H&R barrel fitting and the acceptable customs here on GBO (I'll bet he does now) I don't see it as an attempt to pull anything over... he was completely open about asking for opinions and if he'd been more of a sleaze I doubt he'd have been as up front.

My 2cents.

p.s. peanut, don't give up on us here - get yourself that 357 mag and have fun. There is a ton of info and experience on this forum and I doubt you'll find another place with such resources. And, even though it might look like you've stepped in it, the guys here get much practice at understanding... there have been many opportunities here to forgive, and be forgiven, before you.

WOW!!!!! Alright everyone done feedin now . Boy I sure am glad I walked away from this yesterday. As some of you who actually read what I was thinking you are right.... not trying to take advantage of anyone here and although it may appear I am fairly new I have been around for a couple of years under a different username that after being gone for a while I couldn't get to work with GB's updates so I created a new one... not that anyone would remember me by my other username anyway. Maybe I am nieve to how H&R works but I was just going by there order form as far as the $15 fitting fee I know that it's fit to my gun but don't they charge $15 dollars for every bbl ? I am also aware that most are able to fit the bbl's themselves and check head space and tightness and that probly 99% of most bb's fit anyway.the $19.95 for scope rail was what I thought I would be charged if I had it put on at least that's what the order form say's. I probly should of left the part out about paying for my bbl . But I guess that's the capitalist in me that I was not really aware was there as I have sold and traded many T/C barrels over the years and can HONESTLY say I have never made one partially copper penny from and took a loss on most . Maybe some of you can enlighten me as to how I can get a .357 for $110 . Anyway I was not trying to insult anyones intelligence, pull the wool over anyones eye's/ear's , take advantage of you or turn myself into a bussiness and the part about growing up a little bit I was hoping I could get that to go the other way anybody got any want to be younger pills for sale

Don't take to much to heart , if you have brothers and sisters you know how family squables can go to the weird side in a hurry , and god knows we have had our fair share of them in the last few years .

Actually the cost would be $112, plus the cost of shipping your frame to them........and then the loooong wait which is a cost in itself!!
