Its Been A Good 3 Years!!

The date was February 04, 2004...
 I came across this site after visiting what seemed like hundreds of other sites looking for a home after H&R Talk had shut down. The NEF section has grown alot in 3 years and it seems like every day when you log on there is a new post by a new face/name that has bought a Handi or is considering it. I just want to say thanks to Bill for the site and thanks to all the members of the NEF/H&R family here for their help and wealth of knowledge. :) :)

You guys are right, time has flown by hasn't it. The site and forum is really growing but the guys are still great. Thanks for the new home Bill....<><.... :)

You beat me by three days 10ga!!! My register date was Feb 7, 2004 and you are all right ... time is flying by. I have been to many other sites but this isn't a "site" anymore because this is more like "home." I came here after Marlin closed it's forum down and was welcomed by Bill and his wife. I, too, thank you Bill and I thank you quick for everything. I love firearms, shooting, and hunting but you guys (all the members) have added another dimension to it.

We all seem to have come aboard at about the same time, 02/05/04 for me, one of  "the boat people", adrift and looking for a new home after H&R/NEF kicked us free. It's been fun hasn't it....<><.... ;D

Huh, I just looked, mine was Feb 15, 2005, a year behind you guys.

Bill, many thanks to you for having such a great place for all of us, and Matt, thanks for the hard work you do behind the scenes to keep this place running like a top!

Yes it has...and a little longer for some of us...Sept.18...2003 for me... ;) GBO is a great place...no doubt about it...and we all have Bill & Matt to thank for it...They have done a-lot to keep this site the best on the world wide web...So...Here's to the first 3...and many more...

I too came here after they shut Marlin/NEF talk down , I came a little later than most of you guys did , November 27 , 2004. It dosent seem like I have been here that long. I guess like the old saying goes , time sure flies when you having fun. I didnt think that I would find a forum that was better than Marlin/NEF talk was but I was wrong. Every day I look forward to coming home and getting on here and talking to you guys... So I to would like to thank Bill , Matt and anyone else who helped in the making of this site.

I m new to the handi world & this sight. Me & my brother got our handis about a year ago. 223 survivors. Just to have some thing that was cheap to shoot. Since Ive been on this site. Ive got A 204,3006, A 4570 & a 308 for my brother Now I could of bought these barrels elswhere but the info Ive gotton is priceless. Ive never had a ? go unanwsered. Its like sitting around Acampfire with a bunch of wise old timers. So I wanna thank all of ya. Especially Quick.

Coincidently, I joined on the same day.  Just after 6 AM.

It all started with a new .223 Handi ....   ;D

This little NEF forum is the greatest.  Thanx to all you guys that have made this possible.

I'm going to purchase my first sometime this spring/summer.  The little .204 will be a fun addition to the home armory.  Keep up the good info!

I was long time member on the original NEF site.  If memory serves me right my member No. was right around 150.  I found their forum when I was doing research on my (at that time) new acquisition, a like new .410 Topper Deluxe that I had purchased for $50 from an acquaintance at church who needed some cash.  I really was not looking for a single shot or 410 at the time but he needed the money and would not accept charity. He new I liked guns and insisted I take it. That's where my disease started. After NEF pulled the plug on their forum I found GB's forum and officially made my new home here on Feb. 8, 2004. 

Once again, thanks to GB and his team for taking us in and treating us so well.

3 years yep didn't think I'd live that much longer but I'm still kickin. I still drift around alot but GBs is an anchor I always come back to. 8)

I remember how some of the hardcore Nef sight guys worked hard to let everybody know where to find each other here at GBs. ;D
