M77 MII 7mm Rem Accuracy
« on: February 17, 2007, 01:19:47 AM »
As stated in another thread I am dealing with a trigger issue but this rifle appears to be capable of excellent accuracy. What I mean by that is while shooting the first 5 shots ever out of the rifle I had three rounds that I could cover with a nickel with 2 others that stretched the 5 shot group to 1 1/2". After each of the 2 rounds that stretched the group I indicated to my spotter that I felt the shots were pulled. He confirmed this each time. This was done shooting standard Remington 150 Cor-Lok bullets. This is the main reason I ended up with this rifle. The accuracy potential intrigued me. I feel like if I can fix the trigger and try some premium factory ammo this rifle should be able to deliver nice groups.  ;D Have various boxes of ammo including Hornady 139 HM SST and 160 grain Winchester Supreme Fail Safes along with the Rem 150 to try as soon as I get the trigger issue resolved. Any ammo suggestions ???
