Dims introduce assault weapon ban legislation
« on: February 17, 2007, 04:30:26 AM »

Didn't take too long.  The Fudds will probably go along with it as long as they can keep their shotgun or bolt action rifle.

You can thank the idiots who voted for Dims in order to teach Bush a lesson.

Yep, Can't say some of us didn't try to warn them either.

To whom it may concern; If you are one of those who cast your vote to 'punish' 'W' I hope you're happy and I hope you are amongst the first to have your door kicked in in the middle of the night by the BATF   :P

So, there hasn't already been doors kicked in by the BATF?

Nothing really happened at Ruby Ridge?  What about Waco?

Heck....the ATF kicks in doors all the time.........

What kind of crap is this?  Congress did not vote to make the cowardly Gestapo type moves at Ruby Ridge or at Waco!!!! Can we say Janet Reno??????????? Working for Bill Klinton, did someone forget? Have we seen such a high profile & demoralizing event of this nature during this
Presidency?

Do some still want to play the stupid game of acting like the 2 parties are the same in THIS issue. Sorry, not going to happen, all we have to do
is look at the facts, something old Dems don't like.  We will get alot of chances to look in the near future too!

You know, this is really kind of funny.  People who don't like Bush or the fact that he makes decisions without going to full committee are called demicrats, or just plain stupid, take your pick.

Those who didn't like Bush got what they wanted:  Democraptic rule.

What they, and some of you fail to understand is that democrats are communists, or nazis or both.

Now, those of you who didn't like Bush will either loose your rights, your firearms, your privacy and your ability to make decisions about anything, or your lives.

You are now under Communist control, so learn what crap tastes like because that is all you will get.  You won't sacrifice any of your children to wars.  You have allowed them to be butchered in the streets by terrorists because demicraps are cowards with weak stomachs who use the sacrifices of others to determine when it 'costs too much to carry on'.  So lay down and die, you're makin' me sick with all your chickenschmidt crap.

You were warned that this is what you would get but you failed to learn from your own immediate history and you failed to listen.  Your failures to learn have brought you to this end, but you got what you wanted.  Quit complaining.  Pile your guns in the streets for the gun-cops to destroy and say goodbye to any hope you ever may have had to being able to protect yourself or your family or the freedoms you have taken for granted and forgotten.

But, on the bright side, although stupid people are allowed to breed, and they allow religious bigots to influence government and allow cowards to determine how you live, the mistakes stupid people make kill them off at a much faster rate than the rest of us.  This is why America only grows and progress in spurts - we have to wait for the stupid ones to get themselves killed off.

I would hazard the guess that the democrats will make enough mistakes and kill off enough people over the next 4 -6 years that even the stupid ones will realize what a horrendous mistake they have made.  But, maybe not.  One can only hope. Mikey.

Brilliant ... yeah I price them - you can pick up a brand new AR made by a reputable company like Rock River for around $800.  Thats less than a lot of quality bolt guns.  You can build one yourself for around $600 because building yourself avoids govt. taxes on complete guns.  This is the same thing as the fudds do to justify their vote for Dims.  I can add it to my list.  The 2nd has nothing to do with hunting.  Your wing shooting shotgun will become a target next since it can be easily convert to a "high capacity assault shotgun gun" by removing the plug.  Oh yeah - your bolt action rifle is a "sniper gun".  If you didn't like Bush then fine but to vote in a Dim congress was lunacy.

"It don't matter - they won't never take my shotgun away"
"What do you hunt wit them thar black guns anyway - can't hunt deer with em and they just jam up"

Yep, I guess I am one of those "affluent" ones that owns a match grade AR & some nice bolt guns. Funny though, I don't feel very rich, I do feel blessed to be able to have the freedom (for now) to do so & the opportunity (for now) to be able to buy a few things. Thanks to the Socialist Democraps & a few willing Rep. as well, we have Welfare & extreme taxes to try to "even things out". But we strayed from the topic once again.

azshooter, every time a thread like this one gets started about the Dems & gun control, you will see the denial squad come out & divert attention
from the gun control subject & get into how the "both parties are bad" kick.  And that is true, but NOTHING will suppress the fact that the
Socialist Democraps are THE party of gun control. It is easy to do a head count of each bill & post it, so get ready, it shall be done.

Some of these post truly make me sick.  Personally, I do not belong to either political party.  I try to research each individual candidate and then vote based on how I think the respective candidates will perform in the job.

The genius in the American system is that it was purposely set up so that it is difficult to make rash decisions.  This was accomplished in a number of ways: seperation of powers, bicamarel legislature, etc.  But the system was also set up in a way that promoted the formation and subsequent maintanance of competing and diametric political parties.  It was thought that such a system would act as a check on any one political ideology.  And that is exactly what has occured for the most part.

There have always been two legitimate sides to every issue in this country.  Has the debate always been civil?  No, the Civil War comes to mind, but the country was eventually able to overcome even those differences.

I guess to some up my point.  We are all Americans whether we are Republicans, Democrats (spelling this word wrong is really stupid), Conservative, Liberal, or any other various label.

If we didn't have debates we really would be living in a Communistic or Fascistic state.  Thank God we don't.

I for one would love to have other choices, just no need to support a party who has gone over the edge, & concerning gun control they have been leftist for many years& now they have nothing to offer in any catagory. Maybe the Constitution party will get strong enough to have a candidate, but I doubt it. Socialist Democrap is spelled correctly, BTW. They have lost the right to be called Democrats, sorry.

(spelling this word wrong is really stupid

I've thought that too... I have a hard time considering an opinion seriously when it tries to insult with poor spelling.  I've often wondered if others thought that way.

I guess I was more focused on the subject of the thread. My assumption is that since he has spelled larger words correctly, it was a typo. I also know that diverting attention away from a subject to instead dwell on a typo may mean those who divert have no worthwhile arguments on the subject.

FYI - Dim is intentional.  If you can't figure it out you shouldn't have passed the bar.  Now do you happen to have something to say about the subject or are you just tossing hand grenades to divert attention???????

The name DUMCRAPS not only tells party affiliation but also very accurately describes them. They oppose private ownership of guns and will not be satisfied til the law abiding gun owners in America are defenseless. They support killing babies and calling it birth control. They support gay and lesbian marriage. They oppose posting the Ten Commandments in our schools and court houses. I stand by my spelling, it's what they are.   I wonder if the "FUDS" are going to go along with the next ban after the "assault weapons" ban. The next one will target either the evil "riot gun" or the "sniper rifle"? The filthy communists (I refuse to call them democrats) come up with an evil name for gun and the fuds and the nongun public go along with it. I see Jim Zumbo is the latest dumba$$ to go along wirth the commies and thier name calling.  >:(

If Rudi Guiliani [R, NY], a front runner, becomes president do you think he would sign an assault weapons ban bill if it came in front of him? You bet he would! The sad truth is that wedge issues [gun control, healthcare, abortion, stem cell resrch, gay unions] are divided up between the two parties so they can ping pong us citizens back and forth, but in essence the demorepub ruling party has the same agenda.

......TM7

Sir, I believe Rudi would sign a weapons ban. Under no circumstances will I vote for him. If he is nominated, I will go independent for sure, but I don't think he will be nominated, & if he does, he won't win. They thought Hillary would beat him back when she ran for Senate, & that's his home state. A Northeastern Rep.
is more like a Dem, hard to tell apart, but they are a minority in the party anyway.

No, the two parties are not close at all on gun contrl, just look at the numbers & lay opinions aside, it is too easy to track.

Instinctively or through careful thought, doesn't matter. Many of the Republicans are pro gun. It is a matter of record. Do the math & check the past voting, left up to the Socialist Democraps we would have lost our fight long ago, no one can argue this unless they ignor the voting. Thank goodness there are not more Northeastern Lib Republicans than there are, at least for now.

No doubt the republicans are more gun friendly.......

I wish that were the only issue.....

I'm afraid we're all in for a turbulent change ahead.

All this focus on the dems......and very little mention at all for any Republican candidate.

I would truly love to vote libertarian.....but remember what happened last (and only) time I went third party......

I find it tough to continue along the same path....as either leads to more socialism......

Sir, I have done it that way before & with some Rep. I would again, but if Rudy or McCain gets nominated, I will vote Independent, hopefully Constitution Party if a canadate exists. No way Libertarian, too liberal for me & a gutless bunch (the politicians, not the voters)

I have always voted Republican...(except in 92)....given the choice......I would love to vote independant.....and will if they field a candidate who might have a chance of winning.

When king george the first stood on national TV.....and said "read my lips, no new taxes" and then passed the biggest tax increase in history I just couldn't vote for a bold face liar.

Under King George II, the government has grown some 30%......

I want less government, and more individual liberty in my life.......

Like father, like son.....the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree does it?

I'd like to say I'm a republican again, but until they get back to their roots and inforce  the contract with america, and start acting like republicans I just can't associate myself with them.

I doubt TM7 is a democrat.....highly unlikely....IMO

Yes, I agree with alot of that.  Many tried to justify Pres. Bush Senior, that he was pressured by the Dem Congress & so forth. But that doesn't cut it with me, he should not have backed down from his word, period. When you say that you did not vote for him because of this lie, I hope you voted for Perot or some other independent. Because if you voted for Clinton, you voted against a man who told a lie (yes, one is too many), & voted for a man who is a propetual lie, a walking lie. If he found out that he told the truth, he would retract it, & it was plain to see the pattern before he was elected.

I bet old Ross would have taken names and kicked butt.  I liked the dude myself.

Many think that Perot did a deal with Clinton to split the Conservative vote. I sure was not in the meeting, but I can see the likelyhood.
Perot was an enemy of George Bush Senior & the Clinton people knew Clinton would not get majority votes in a 2 party race. So, Clinton
wins with far less than a majority. I had the displeasure to watch these people in AR. for 12 years before this race. You won't see much
wisdom, but never underestimate the Clinton's political savvy. I look for the next race to be a 3 way for the same reason. If something works,
why fix it?

Is anyone actually surprised by this ?
The "Sunset" of the last ban was a slap in the face for the Dems...
The first implementation was their crowning achievement and to have it go away was insulting.
It will be interesting to see what lies are told as reasons that it should be brought back ?
Didn't help anything the first time. I will almost bet that during the time this bill is being re-evaluated, that there will be some sort of really huge Media Making shooting...
Seems to always happen. There is a CONSPIRACY THEORY for ya' TM7

This thread has done one thing though, We know those who probably voted DEM. in the last election !
And to those who did, The Anti- Gun folks really appreciate your vote !!!! And No complaining
when your 2nd amendment rights go away, You did it to us all by voting DEM. So THANKS in advance !!!!   ::)
