Bought a 45 /70 340 grain mold from lee and cast some for the omega and they shoot great.I put them through a .451 sizer and used mmp black sabot's.I also tried the mmp orange sabot without resizing , but the sized ones worked just a little better to my surprise.I shot 3 today and got a 5/8" group at 60 yds using 105 gr. pyrodex rs. Lee has heavier 45/70's that would probably work just as well.I also have an older cva kodiak and they shoot great in that also with 95 to 100 gr. pyrodex rs . I haven't tried heivier loads in the T/C yet, this summer I will put the target out to 100 + yds. and give them a try,to much snow right now.I was going to buy a swaging outfit to make the size bullets I wanted but no need to now as these work so well.I can even alter the hardness just a little also.I made most out of pure lead but made a few out of wheel weights and they went through the sizer ok and shot just as good, but I sure wouldn't want them any harder than that, and certainly no need to be as that is to hard for what I want to use for hunting.I am thinking pure lead with just a little wheel weight added will work fine for what I want.I will do some testing with the phone book routine this summer to see how they expand etc.
Have a great day
