The END of the .276/.256 Cal Rifles

Gentlemen,
This file deals with Ordnance going with the 30.06 Cal Semiautomatic Rifle. There is some data of Interest in this file. I hope this data helps with the History of the M1 Garand Rifle.

I couldn't read it, does it say that the Chief of Staff, looked at the wharehouses full of .30 caliber ammo and nixed the change in caliber?  :o
