6.8mm rem spc
« on: February 17, 2007, 05:34:36 PM »
Hi guys,

I posted this question on the TC Handgun forum but didn't get any answers so I'll try here. I am wondering if anyone has shot the 6.8 mm in a 14 inch contender and cronied them? I'm thinking about buying one but I would like to know the velocities, preferably with factory ammo.  Any help would be appreciated.

Rob...

I think you will find that most people do not keep chronograph records on factory ammo. Reloaders tend to get either new loaded ammo as a base for accuracy and then work up loads for better accuracy or load for the highest velocity they can. In my circle of aquaintences we load for accuracy and only measure the velocity for plotting trajectories for hunting or to measure the consistancy of the ammo.

Hodgdon, Lyman, Speer, Sierra, Hornady = reliable resources
so and so's pages on the internet = not reliable resources
Alway check loads you find on the internet against manuals.
NEVER exceed maximum listed loads.
