Sighting in
« on: February 21, 2007, 05:39:31 PM »
My son bought a new scope for me to put on my Encore pistol, and just this past weekend I got to put it on, as I had to change bases and rings. Hopefully  I won't have to work this weekend, and I'll get to take it to the range! ;D

Hopefully the weather will hold out for you.  Looks like the worst will be Sunday, so hopefully you can.  Let us know.

Well, It was very windy, but with the load I took I managed to put a majority of my shots in the 8 & 9 ring @100 yards.  It wasn't the best session that I've had, but There wasn't anyone else at the range to give me "advice."

Now that I found the paper, the next chance I get to go I'll have a variety of loads to see which groups best and work from there. I', shooting 150 grain Hornady SST's with little or no crimp, and I also shot some 150 gr. Core locks, which at the time seemed to do better.

70 rounds from that thing at one session is plenty, altho if I'd brought more......
