heritage arms 45 colt anyone have any comments to offer

I think their made by pietta and have coil mainsprings. The nickle models might be just the ticket and look more authentic than Vaqueros. If I came across a 4 3/4 nickle I'd definatley grab it.

I don't know about the springs, but I handled a couple of these last weekend and I'm impressed.  Nice gun for a reasonable price!  If I were looking for a Colt look-alike, but wanted to carry 6 rounds (these have a transfer bar safety), I would buy one.  Nice wood, nice finish, very good sight picture, and they also load from the half-cock hammer position.  This is probably the best buy for a transfer bar clone.  They are $350 for blued and $375 for nickle at Jay's.  I like the Taurus Gaucho and I own a Ruger New Vaquero but were I shopping for another right now, I would have to take a real hard look at the Heritage.  I am impressed by them!  44 Man

Thanks guys. I am just looking around for a pack gun to care hunting with me. I am not a big fan of autos. I want some small and easy to use. I like the fact that i can pull a revoler out and cock the hammer and bang. i don't have to worry about saftys and chambering a round and all that stuff and most important to me is it feel like a real gun with its grip size and weighs. So i was looking at these in the 4" barreled modles.

just looked at these yesterday , vances in columbus ohio 324.99 very nice handlin piece, i almost put one on layaway  but hought hhmmmm??? that makes 7 45's and an odd number??? hahaha i haveto  travel that way in a week i probobly will talk myself into it by then
