Does the GP-100 have the strength to take 44 mag round? Just curious if Ruger will ever come out with a 'S&W Mountain Gun' equivalent.

It might be OK as a 5 shot. But then a shorter barrel Redhawk would probably foot the bill better. KN

The frame is likely strong enough but I don't think the cylinder is large enough even in a 5 shot for a 44 Magnum.
I'm with KN, I'd like to see a 4" Redhawk, or even better a 4" Redhawk with a GP100 grip.
