That's what I use, it works very well, but I don't consider it quiet, but it's the only one I've ever used. :D

I bought a midway tumbler in 1985. After many years of good service the motor gave out as It was in a damp enviornment in storage for a few months. I called Midway looking for a replacement motor and was told to return the unit for warranty.
At that time I had moved some of my business to other sources.
I am sure you can see why I have began to do more and more business with Midway

I have a rubber drum type "Thumblers tumbler" that is made for tumbling and polishing rocks. it works very well and is quiet. I also have one of those big orange vibratory polishers thatworks almost as good as long as the media is new and coarse. The one thing it is not is quiet. If you put it on two bath towels it is almost as quiet as the Thumbler's.
I don't think you can even compare them for price or quality.

I also use the Frankford Arsenal Tumbler from Midway. I bought the tumbler with the Media Separator Kit. The separator is very noisy and the tumbler isn't too quiet but I don't think any of them are very quiet.

Back before the vibratory cleaners came on the market, there were 2 ways to clean brass, chemicals and rotary tumblers, rotaries are expensive and extremely slow, back then very few people owned a case cleaner.  Then the vibratory cleaners came out, the market went crazy for them, the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and at the same time the reviewers told about the differences, the vibratory cleaners were tremendously faster and affordable by the average reloader, the vibratory case cleaners quickly took over the case cleaning market, the rotaries almost faded into history, they still sell a few, but not many.

Vibratory cleaners, advantages, very fast, inexpensive
Disadvantages, noisy

Rotary cleaners, advantages, quiet
Disadvantages, extremely slow, extremely expensive compared to vibratory cleaners

I've seen a lot of people with the Frankford Arsenal cleaners, they have a lot of satisfied customers!

I use one of the Lyman twins. I like it, because if I have just a few cases I can use the small 650 bowl.

I have my tumbler on a timer. Set the timer on the tumbler so it runs while your neighbors (and you) are at work. I have mine sitting on a small piece of carpet, helps with the noise.

Flitz, you can save a bunch of money getting crushed walnut shells at your local feed store, lots cheaper than the stuff made for tumblers.
