I'm not sure of how much the clubs charge for the Cowboy match's, but here, is, I believe part of the reason, my favorite sport, silhouette shooting has dropped off dramtically. Use to be, a club would charge $10 for a big bore entry fee, if they had a pay back. Most of them went down to $7, but then didn't have any payback. Just pay the target setters, and club fee's. Pretty soon though, more clubs dropped out, as match directors, like myself, got burnt out after so many years. Pretty soon, shooters had to drive alot further, as clubs that were still holding matchs, got further apart. With gas price's up, it cost alot more to just make a ''local'' match. Last fall, I was talking with an old friend of mine, who hadn't made a single silhouette match all year. When I asked him why, he said he figured out, it would cost him a minimum of $80, and probably closer to $100 to make a match. $50-$60 in gas, $20-$30 for match fees, plus ammo.(And he's a bullet caster like me), but with powder and primers, he still figured around $8-$10 in ammo costs. And maybe $6-$7 for a hamburger stop. I hope the trend doesn't continue. We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!! Remember-(12/7/41)-(9/11/01) gypsyman
