10ga slugs
« on: February 24, 2007, 06:03:05 AM »
If I don't order a 12ga ush barrel or just buy  a hole gun I was thinking about getting some 10ga slugs for me smooth bore 10ga turkey, I was wondering if anyone shoots 10ga slugs, and howaccurate are they out to 125yrds?

Well, I found out my 10ga dosn't like Fed. 1 3/4oz rifled slugs. The first 2 looked promising 3"@50yrds then the went to crap. looked like I was shooting with my eyes shut they were so bad. So I guess shooting slugs out of her is not a good idea, just have to find a 12ga USH barrel or the hole gun. I'm going to go down to Gander and Sportsmans next week and see what they have, I know one of them have a 20ga USHD but I would rather have the 12ga.

What choke were you shooting them through?

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun

I would opt for 12GA USH accessory barrel for that 10GA...There really is not a good selection of 10GA slugs out there...There are a ton of 12GA slugs/sabot slugs on the market.
